If you have reference dealing with Northampton County and would be willing to do lookups for others, please let us know! Send e-mail to Nancy

NOTE: Time constraints do not allow me to personally do look-ups. I suggest you post your queries to the Northampton Mailing List. History has shown that there are a lot of very helpful members who will be glad to help, if possible.
Nancy

When asking for a lookup, please provide as much information as possible, giving full names and dates if possible. Be sure to include which reference you are referring to when sending in your request and put the words "Northampton County Lookup" in your subject line. Please do not send in a blanket request, for example: looking for all of the Jones in Northampton County-we are volunteers, not paid researchers! Your request should be limited to one name per request and please be sure to thank the volunteer for their time!

These volunteers have generously offered their time and energy. Many others visit this site, so please try to keep your requests simple.

  • Lutheran and Reformed Church christening records in Upper Mt. Bethel Township, covering the years 1772 through 1890

I am willing to do searches on a volunteer basis. I can't always guarantee that my response will be immediate, but I will get to the requests as soon as I'm able. My response will be by e-mail, and I don't want to bother with making copies of pages and mailing them out. The information from 1772 to 1823 is available on microfilm from the LDS. The later years I obtained from a member of the current church. They are transcribed records, not copies of the originals.

  • "First Reformed Church of Easton, PA," by Chris & Patti Marsicano

I can do some lookups for some Northampton county cemeteries. I have mainly Easton and surrounding areas

Spencer Walters  (No longer available, but thank you for all the reponses)

  • I have a birthday book, from 1898, I believe, and it includes many Northampton County surnames, such as BECK, BLOSS, CLEWELL, GEITING, HAMAN, KINIPER, KRAMER / KREMER, MESSINGER, MOSER, OTT, STAUBER, STEINER, STOUT and WALTER. Originally, it belonged to Ellen C. BLOSS, and a fellow genealogist offered it to me several months ago after learning these were many of the names I am researching. I have typed up all the names and dates and indexed it all. I'm sure the information could be useful to many genealogists, especially those with ties to Northampton County.

Jay Willis (12/18/2006)

  1. Xerox copy of the 1907 Pa German Society's reprint of the St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Williams Twp., Northampton Co. PA or "Old Williams Lutheran" or Williams Twp. Lutheran church's records 1733 thru 1831.
  2. I also have a Xerox of the original handwritten records for 1831 thru 1880.

I would be happy to be a "look up" volunteer. I would ask peoples patience since there is no index and all responses would have to be typed rather than cut and paste. My interest is the SLOYER family.
